Every time I speak with a fly fisherman about fishing a lake I get as an answer....streamers! Well I'm not going to say a streamer won't work or won't give you a bigger chance to hook a monster brown BUT....
What about finding a cruising rainbow over 20 inches or a nice 2 or more pounds brookie and make a cast to it with a dry fly or a nymph? Sounds interesting doesn't it?
Tromen Lake has the perfect structure to do some sight fishing. Long walls along deep banks, structure with logs and branches, sandy and shallow bays, rocky areas and more. Just ideal!
The schedule is easy. A five minutes drive to the little dock or 15 minutes walk enjoying the wilderness and we will be out in our motor boat. Back for lunch and some relaxing time and out again to fish the best ours of the afternoon.... |
