San Martin de los Andes is a small and beautiful Alpine style town, located in a valley almost on the foothills of the Andes Mountain range and nearby Lacar Lake.

Some people compare this town with small ski villages in Switzerland, others say it just looks like Aspen 20 years ago.....

San Martin de los Andes life is strongly related to tourism. The main atraction during the winter are the winter-snow sports. Chapelco ski resort it is just 25 minutes away from town, so during the snow prime time (July, August & September) this vibrant little town receives thousands of turists.

In summer everything switches to outdoors activities related with the national parks, the wilderness, fishing and hunting.
